Diamond Creek Major, also known as “Major”, was the first animal ever registered
by NASMA. His registration number is ND-0001 and was registered 3/15/1998. Since
being registered, he has successfully competed in the show world and has bred
hundreds of mares and donkeys; producing some of the finest mules and donkey’s
in the industry. “Major” is the only jack to ever win Grand Champion Jack three
years in a row at the National Western Stock Show. “Major” retired from showing
in 2000.
“Major” has been featured in many mule and horse publications including, Mules &
More Magazine, Western Mule Magazine, Western Horseman and Horse Illustrated. He
will also be appearing in the new TV Series “Outfitter Boot Camp” to air on the
Outdoor Channel in July 2012.
Currently 6% of all mules registered with NASMA are by “Diamond Creek Major”.
5.5% of all donkeys registered with NASMA are by “Major” These figures do not
include mules and donkeys sired or born from offspring by “Major”.
Diamond Creek Major has been and continues to be a great ambassador of the mule
and donkey industry.
